The first interoperability testing between AudioCodes VoIP gateways and MERA softswitches was conducted in the year 2005. Since that time AudioCodes is keeping interoperability with MERA Systems in new versions and software releases.
Being enhanced with one of the best stability and routing flexibility currently available on the market, MERA Systems product line of VoIP transit softswitches enable VoIP carriers and service providers to efficiently handle considerable amounts of IP telephony transit traffic across their networks. The testing was set out to ensure interoperability between MERA VoIP Softswitches and AudioCodes Media Gateways concerning registration, call handling, DTMF transmission, T.38 real time fax and other functions.
