Toronto, ON, October 31, 2011 – ALOE Systems, a developer of industry-leading VoIP softswitch solutions and service platforms, released a new revision of its flagship product, MVTS II v1.5.1. It is a 3-in-1 wholesale VoIP business platform with integrated switching, billing, and smart routing (LCR, quality-based routing, real-time routing) functionality.
The new version brings anticipated new features and enhances the field-tested functionality of ALOE Systems’ product.
It introduces the domestic routing engine for the North American region, which brings the support of OCNs (Operating Company Numbers), LATAs (Local Access and Transport Areas), and NPA-NXX (North American Numbering Plan) to MVTS II.
For transit carriers this revision will simplify interaction with operators who provide rates in accordance with LATAs and OCNs, allowing the network administrator to break out routing to the NPA-NXX or LATA/OCN level.
The new revision of the product allows charging method to be set in accordance with rates provided by the operators – either by the prefix, area, LATA, OCN, or LATA and OCN. Thus, a route can now include several tariffs for different jurisdiction of NPA-NXX or LATA.
New features on allowance or disallowance of call termination from certain customers can now be set by the call destination prefix, LRN, call source prefix, and call source OCN.
“Carriers need to use advanced routing solutions for efficient traffic management in North America due to the complex domestic routing system enforced by local law,” comments Konstantin Nikashov, CEO of ALOE Systems. “The latest 1.5.1 version of MVTS II is a unique solution transit carriers operating in North American market that simplifies domestic routing procedures.”
G.726 codec is now supported by the system, further enhancing the codec conversion features of MVTS II.
